Many factors will determine how fast your property sells. It could be location, the type of market we are currently in, or price, for example.
There is a lot of prep work to be done before you list your home. Consider the following:
-Set a timeline for selling your house. What time of year do you want to have your property on the market?
-Complete those DIY home renovation projects that have been started.
-Declutter, depersonalize, and deep clean the home. You want buyers to envision themselves in your home so remove as much personal property as possible.
-Make your curb appeal the best first impression by making the front yard warm, inviting, and safe.
-Don’t waste money on needless upgrades. Things like patching and painting a neutral color, new flooring, or landscaping will go a long way.
-Set a realistic price. When working with me, I will meet with you for a quick tour of your property and present all the relevant information necessary to determine an accurate and competitive listing price.
The last thing we want to do is to have the price too high which results in price reductions. Multiple price reductions can give potential buyers the impression there is something wrong with the home.
-Be prepared for buyers. Once listed, always keep the house clean and ready to show for any buyer that comes through.
As your agent, I will guide you through every step, from helping you prepare your property to list to educating you on the current market and setting a realistic price as well as negotiating with buyers and closing the sale.
